The Council has agreed to lease land on the Council-owned reserve at 93–101 Waller Street, Benalla, to the Benalla Woodworkers Association.

The Association plans to construct a fenced compound to house woodworking equipment, along with a shed featuring a kitchenette and toilet facilities at one end.

The lease will be for an initial term of five years, commencing once the agreement is signed, with the option of four additional five-year terms—allowing for a potential total lease period of 25 years.

The photos below show the approximate location of the proposed shed and an overview of the leased area. For comparison, the proposed shed is estimated to be no larger than the existing Men’s Shed.
