Benalla Rural City Council is inviting community members to review and provide feedback on the Draft Road Management Plan 2025–2029, now on public exhibition.
The draft Road Management Plan outlines how we manage and maintain the roads and footpaths we are responsible for, ensuring they are safe, accessible, and maintained within available resources. It includes details about road classifications, maintenance standards, inspection timeframes, and response targets.
We’re committed to working alongside the community to keep our road network functional, safe and fit for purpose, and we want your input.
Community members are encouraged to review the draft Road Management Plan and provide feedback on any elements they believe should be updated or improved. As part of this process, residents also have the opportunity to nominate roads they believe should be added to the Public Roads Register. Any nominated roads will be reviewed by Council officers, and where appropriate, a recommendation will be made to the Council for further consideration.
This is an opportunity for the community to help shape the way the Council manages its road network over the next four years. All feedback is welcomed and will play an important role in finalising the Road Management Plan 2025–2029.
